Media Bridge is seeking an intern in a part-time capacity to help with design and implementation of virtual English-language instruction, communication, and other engagement with learners from Central Asian countries. The ideal candidate will be high-energy, creative, flexible, solutions-oriented, and able to handle rapidly changing circumstances. 

Media Bridge is a unique international collaboration initiative implemented by the Pebble Foundation with Central Asian partners to help media professionals and students in Central Asia to perfect their skills in the English language and media-related topics. Through weekly chats via Zoom, participants have the opportunity to perfect their English and journalism skills and share knowledge on journalism-related topics with media peers in U.S. and native English speakers. 

The intern’s day-to-day tasks include:

· Implement English instruction and evaluation for 10 learners through once weekly Zoom sessions and offline educational support

· Design educational and assessment materials

· Assist with emails, social media outreach, and other communications

· Support the project team with other tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: 

· At least two years of completed coursework at a U.S.-based college or university, preferably in journalism, communications, English as a second language, or education

· Exceptional English verbal, written and presentation skills

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines

· Self-starter with proven ability to see projects through to completion and to work independently 

The intern will work remotely 10-15 hours per week from September to December 2021 (with possible extension through June 2022). Our intern position is unpaid; however, individuals selected to work with us are eligible to receive internship or community-service credit hours.
